about it". - High praise indeed.

Anyone who hasn't tried Muscadet for a few years needs to. Check out our Chef's Specials Board, if we've got fresh Mussels on there at the moment, order a big bowl and a bottle of this Muscadet. It might be one of the oldest food and wine matches in the bookbut that doesn't mean it isn't brilliant.
Bin 11. Chardonnay, Redfin - Australia  £17.50
No oak here; just a nose with vibrant white peach, green apple and lime zest with a creamy mouth feel.
Bin 12. Sauvignon Blanc, Tinpot Hut - New Zealand  £23.00
"Its tangy, aggressive, invigorating - just what I want from a Kiwi Sauvignon. One reason is that the grapes mostly grow in the Blind River, where conditions are hard and bony. But above all, the producers don't compromise. We want a wine full of green leaf, green apple peel, nettle, coffee bean and lime zest attack - and that's exactly what Tinpot Hut gives us." Oz Clarke's 250 best wines for 2011.
Bin 13.  Chablis, Domain Testut - France  £24.00
Exceptionally fresh, with a balance of intense apple and citrus fruit and crisp Chablis acidity, while notes of spice and warmer stone fruit come through on the long finish. This wine represents why Chablis became so revered.
Bin 14. Goats in Villages Viognier, Goats do Roam - South Africa  £20.00
Legend goes that some errant members of Fairview's long established goat herd escaped one afternoon from their paddock into the Fairview vineyards where they roamed around feasting on the ripest berries from the choicest vines.Their discerning selection serves as the inspiration for this lovely rich wine.

Red Wines

Bin 16. House Claret, Chateau de Fontenille - France  £19.50
This wine needs to punch above its weight to be named our House Claret and this fits the bill nicely. Fresh cassis aromas precede a spicy, complex palate, while the firm yet fine tannins match the fruit ion the finish.
Bin 17. Rioja, Monte Clavijo - Spain  £17.00
A lighter unoaked Rioja; cassis and blackberry aromas leap out of the glass, followed by ripe almost fleshy berry flavours and light toffee toast.
Bin 18. Shiraz/Viognier, Willunga 100 - Australia  £18.95
The richness of the Shiraz combines superbly with the delicacy of the Viognier to produce a wine bursting with juicy Shiraz fruit.
Bin 19. Pinot Noir, Vina Punto Alto - Casablanca - Chile  £24.50
"A Pinot Noir with a hint of lushness, quite rich strawberry fruit and the mellowness of cream, but underscored by mouthwatering stony dryness." Oz Clarke's best wines for 2011.
Bin 20. Cabernet Sauvignon, Los Vilos - Chile £16.95
Brilliant ruby red colour with red plumy fruit and chocolate and vanilla on the nose.
Bin 21. Valpolicella, Allegrini - Italy  £19.50
"One of the great names in Italian reds, Allegrini makes a variety of wild and wonderful special Valpolicella cuvees, but this is their bread and butter wine. Well, that makes it sound a bit mundane, yet this is anything but - a beautifully scented, mild natured red, full of fresh picked cherries and plums, brushed by leatherand made even more appetizing by the cool kiss of riverbed pebbles." Oz Clarke's best wines for 2011.
